The HPP Board would like to congratulate the Dyaspora Coordinating Committee for winning the 2019 Haiti Relief Fund (HRF) Grant. The HRF is a foundation created by HPP to support member and partner organizations that provide disaster relief and/or are working to advance education, professional/technical, and sustainable development in Haiti. The Dyaspora Coordinating Committee requested $4,990 in seed funding to design and build the first of three branches of an irrigation system in the farming community of Bassin Bleu (Jacmel), Haiti. The project is expected to start in the summer of 2020 and completed by Spring 2021. The project features a three-way partnership between the Dyaspora Coordinating Committee, Rowan University's Department of Civil Engineering, and a local farming organization (Organization pour le Development de Bassin Bleu, Jacmel (ODBJ).
